Awsome=) I finally got my Complete Goofy dvds in the mail! Seems like I've been waiting for this all Spring Break, and although it sucks that it comes with only 2 days left of no school, I'm glad it came at all. I was beginning to wonder, and started getting antsy. Well, I know what I'll be doing today. More later...now, on with the show...

Don't ask me how I got to this webpage, but the picture just struck me. That girl, yes, yes, she's cute and all that. Nono, but look. Under her shoulder blade, in the white of her top, where the light rolls into shadow and catches onto that ridge of her rib cage. Wow. The artist in me just goes crazy over stuff like that.=)

Its amazing what a few new slow jam love songs latenight do for me. Just kinda brightens my whole outlook a bit. It puts me in a good mood.

It was a beautiful day today. I woke up at the ripe time of 1pm, pulled the blinds up from my cozy spot on the bed, lay my head back on my pillow and looked up into the deep blue sky. It was gorgeous.

Today was just a chill day, and I went to the lab more to hang with friends, back up some of my files, and well, yes, play some major Warcraft III=) The final day before spring break lends an air of complete "chill" to a day. I animatated for a while, mingled, and played. On the whole, I'm beginning to feel my portfolio taking shape. Over the past two days I've been test rendering one of my pieces with lights and motion blur, and its looking really nice. So I'm happy about that alone. Tack on several games of WCIII, and you got a smilin' man.=)

I feel great. There's no feeling guilty this week because I "can't" work, since the lab is closed and my computer at home is much too slow. I am going to attempt to design and perhaps put up the groundwork for a portfolio website over Spring Break, but other than that, I'm planning on taking things nice and slow. In fact, tomorrow I've already set aside to do....nothing.=) Although if tomorrow is as nice as today, I may feel compelled to go out and soak it in. I'm also waiting on my new DVDs! I'm so very excited about it. The Disney Treasures: Complete Goofy. Its going to be so inspirational, and enjoyable. I've been wanting to get it for awhile now, but its always been out of stock, and hard to find, but eBay is a beautiful thing. I can't wait to watch the Goofy "how to" series, and all the other goodies. You can clearly see the animators were having so much fun when you watch these cartoons. So yeah, here's me, all giddy with anticipation.=)

I've definately got to make my way down to visit my parents sometime during the week. Its been awhile since I visited. Mom just told me they opened a Souplantation near their home, which has got me all excited. Years ago, when we all lived under the same roof if San Diego, we used to have family dinners at Souplantation. It was a special time, remembering back now. My mom used to say, "Oh, its not going to always be like this, I'm going to miss it." At the time, young as I was, I thought it would never end, and we'd always have moments like that. As you get older though, you realize that life has chapters, which begin and end with changes, be it a move, or a job, or a new relationship. And you look back at these chapters every once in awhile, usually with some fond memories that a part of you wishes you could experience again.

I remember on my trip back to SD this past winter break, it was my first time back at Souplantation in probably over a year. Ger came with me, and I enjoyed myself. Ah, good times. Hopefully my parents, brother and I will be able to make our way out to that new Souplantation for dinner this week.

I'm slowly making my way through that book I ordered several weeks ago, The Illusion of Life. Much of it is a history lesson of the Disney studio, as well as a glorification of Walt, but there are definately some interesting and highly informative nuggets in there throughout. I'm around page 150, and I hope to get through a chunk of it by the end of break. Thats another thing I want to do, is catch up on my reading. I hope to finally finish off the last third of High Fidelity, and start on the Fellowship of the Ring or Angela's Ashes(two books sitting on my nightstand looking at me wistfully).

Well, its off to brush the teeth, and enjoy a few more pages of TIOL before knocking out into a restful slumber. G'nite.
