I'm listening to semi-sappy tunes, and munching on the cream cheese pumpkin pie she made (from scratch...as in, "bought a whole pumpkin and steamed it, mashed it, etc." scratch...which impressed the hell out of me), and a few dollops of french vanilla ice cream she added on top for good measure.
Yesterday, I came downtown and she met me at the trolley station. From there we walked back to her dorm apartment, and chilled there the whole evening and most of the night. We talked, and joked...she showed me her portfolio. Somehow, she convinced me to try on her blonde halloween wig, and I just managed to take it off before she ran to get her camera. Later on, she heated up some thanksgiving leftovers with rice and we sat at her drafting table, eating right out of the pan, with a side plate of nori. Afterwards, we sat on the window sill of her second floor window, guessing what the silhouettes in the windows of the building opposite to us were doing. She smoked, while we both sipped our green tea.
It was really nice and chill. I'm still not sure where this is going. There's a little more to the story that I learned yesterday, that I don't really want to go into here, but I guess all I can do is wait and see.
The 4 day weekend was very unproductive "school-wise", although I spent quality time with family and friends. And because of that, I don't feel guilty in the least bit. Life isn't really about work in the end anyways. But school is coming up tomorrow, and I hope I can get back into the groove right away. Only 3 more weeks left.
