Well, I just took a shower, getting ready for my first day of school. I've got two classes today, Maya 2 and 20th Century Art. Wish me luck...here's to new people and experiences. *toast*

Toy Story 2 is such an awsome movie! I was really surprised at how good it was...I just borrowed it and the supplemental dvd from the box set from H. I guess I'm just excited at how I dug it so much. And the part where Sarah sings her song? Oww man...I mean, who didn't feel a wee tug at those heartstrings?=) And the answer is: NO. The answer to your question...which is surely "you haven't seen it yet?!" "NO"...until a few minutes ago.
This weekend, I also borrowed Trainspotting and Dark City from the local blockbuster. Trainspotting I had never seen in its entirety...I watched it twice all the way through already. It kicks much ass...almost gets me curious about heroin. I've always had this theory when I was a kid. About drugs...we're talkin' hardcore drugs...like said heroin. ON MY DEATHBED...I would have the kind nurse cook me up a hit, and I'd go out in ultimate bliss...better than "1000 orgasm". Of course, now that I'm older and my mamma doesn't dress me anymore, it doesn't seem like such a hot way to go out. Another theory I have is that Scottish people have charm in their genes=) "Pish" this, and "cunt" that...how can you not dig it, I'm askin' ya.
Many people have made the claim that the Matrix is just a rip off of Dark City...and having watched the Matrix several times and now watching Dark City, a few of scenes are strikingly similar, as well as the overall theme of the protagonist having the shroud lifted from his eyes, to see the truth which most cannot...waking from a dreamlike state and the question of what is real and what isn't. In my own opinion though, I think both movies do really well on their own, and to go back and say "hey! This person did this first! So automatically, whatever comes after that sucks" is a really stupid way of judging things, and ultimately confining. I mean, critics say that Dark City is a rip from a 1927 Fritz Lang flick called Metropolis. Some people are pissed that Lucas gets credit for using wipes because Kurosawa used them before...blah blah. *smack* See? They deserved that. Rent it if you dig film noir with a twist.
I'm off to bed...man, school is only 2 days away. Am I bummed? Nah...would I like more vacation? Sure, a day or two...another week would've been great, but since thats not going to happen, I'm ready to kick some more ass.=)
