Hired security guards get the worst rap. Heckled by kids, given trouble by delinquents, etc... They've got to put up with mucho crap. And what are they essentially? They're regular Joes, like you and me, dressed up in a uniform...yeah. Thats it. Their power under the law is no more than that of any other civilian. Citizen's arrest is about the extent of it. So, dudes in a uniform...no gun...MAYBE (if they're lucky) some mace. How many times have you said, or heard someone else say "Oh crap, its a cop! Oh wait...psssh...its just a rent-a-cop." No respect. For instance, from time to time on tv, I'll see video of skaters and teenagers givin' security guards a hard time because they won't let them skate somewhere or simply because they represent authority...as sort of a commrcial break in their skate videos. Just yelling profanity at them, heckling, trying to be all macho comacho. Do they try that bullshit on real cops? Hell F'ing no...why? Cuz they'd get a smackdown the likes of which Rodney King would exclaim "gaddaaaaAAAAAmn that looks like it hurts". Thats some real pussy ass behavior if you ask me. Of course there are some dickhead security guards, but damn, for the most part, they're just people doing their job. It may not be glamorous, or pay top dollar, but they do what they gotta do. So next time you see one of these fellers, shoot 'em a smile...the most underappreciated of uniformed workers.

Just watched the later half of the M T V VMAs. Was it just me, or was Jamie F oxx just dyin' up there...probably the worst host I've seen. Later on, I think the suits backstage just told him to speak as little as possible. Heh...I really dug S taind's performance, and Alicia's was cool too.

Class was pretty cool today. I'm still unsure of my instructor's competance level, but I'll stick around for another session to make up my mind.

Well, I'm off to my first day of school...it is currently the buttcrack of dawn, and initial thoughts are: I'm tired, do I really need to go now?, I wonder if I'll make it on time, will there be cute chicks in my class? I sure hope there's cute chicks in my class. I hope my teacher is competant. Do I really need to go now? Right now? uff...wish me luck.

Last night I headed over to my "second home" up here in the bay for some pizza and to watch "Casino". Pizza was good stuff, and so was the movie. Its often been said that its basically a remake of Goodfellaz. To this, I'd have to pretty much agree...alhtough Casino was much less depressing. Almost redeeming to a point. I could also relate to ol' Dinero's character, tryin' to save a girl he really cared for...trying to change her. Only realizing later that it wasn't something that wouldn't happen...and being heartbroken anyway.

I can't believe Maud is dead!! For cripe's sake...I don't know if I've posted about it before, but I'll do it again gaddangit. I just got through watching the Simpsons episode where Maud dies....Maud...DIES! She can't die...thats too damn wierd. She's married to Flanders. She's like that vase in the living room thats just always there, and when it goes missing, theres just an emptiness in the room...something is amiss, and it takes awhile to get used to things again. Man, I'm gettin' pretty emotional over a cartoon character, but tell me thats not wierd?

YO!!!!!! *does Michael Jackson crotch grab* Whats up dude. The past two days have been the laziest days I've spent in a long while. Nothing but watching TV, surfing the net, downloading music, cooking dinner, and vegging. Y'kno wanna know something? Its FARKING AWSOME...I'm sure my friends think I've turned into a hermit. "Hey, you wanna come over and watch this movie? So-and-so is here." "Yo, you wanna go watch Jay and Silent Bob?" "Lets go grab some burritos." and on and on...and I always respond, "Nah dude, I'm just feelin' like vegging. Next time." But I tell you, I'm the type that needs to revert into hermit-mode every once in awhile. I don't feel like its a waste of time at all, because when I emerge from my cave, I'll be rejuvinated, recharged and more productive, dig?

Yesterday I finally got around to watching "Billy Elliot". Really cool movie...I tell ya, when he was all dancing around like a lune I thought to myself, "gaddang! That looks like its so much fun man..." But then I think of the astronomical rate of injury for ballet dancers. Its nuts, I once saw this story on 20/20 about this fanatical ballet dancer who was a complete badass and everything...would dance all the time, won awards, blah blah blah. He was already past his prime when one day, while dancing he fell in excruciating pain. It turns out all those years of dancing, and stretching his body beyond it's limits had worn away the ligiment in his hips. He couldn't walk. He hobbled around on a cane at the age of like 40...so he had steel hip replacements and is dancing again. I mean, wtf is that?! heh...that right there scared any fancy for becoming a ballet dancer right out of me.=) BUT, I digress. Really cool movie. Reading the premise on the back of the box didn't really get into some of the smaller, subtle factors. Like perhaps his apparent sexual ambiguity, among other things.

I watched a made for TV movie called "Murder in a Small Town" with Gene Wilder. Man, I love that guy...there's not another one like him in the world. I wish he would do more stuff. Other than this, the only times I've seen him was on TV was "Inside the Actor's Studio with James Lipton" and a few older movies from the 80s.

I've also been watching MUCHO FoodNetwork heh. IRON CHEF!! "If memory serves me right..." heh...aww yeah. If u ask me though, only two of the Iron Chefs really get any play. The Iron Chef French and Iron Chef Japan. These are the only guys I see "fighting". Y'kno...I wonder if Iron Chefs get more attention from the ladies. Iron Chef groupies perhaps? All waiting at the backdoor with chef hats on, ready to pounce as the Iron Chefs make their way to their limos (cuz you know, they GOT to have limos man). Aww yeah. "What do you do?" "Me? I'm an Iron Chef baby." I mean, does there exist a better pick-up line?! For cripe's sake, the perks alone must be worth puttin' on those silly pajamas they wear.

I'm kidding...those pajamas are dope man. Real shiny.

I've been listening to some of my Black Crows mp3s. I like these guys. They're what a rock and roll band is all about. Their sound is a little dirty, roots sounding. Vocals are geat(remind me of Robert Plant). Hell, they even look the part...lanky, skinny, long-haired fellows rockin' it on.

I'm pretty excited about going back to school in a few days time. Thats another reason I don't mind whiling away a few days doing nothing, because I know I'll be getting productive really soon now. Scrambling from class to class, learning new stuff, meeting new people...so yeah, I'm in no big rush to "do stuff".

I think that'll do it for this session. Come back again, as I describe the joys of hot wax, explain chaos theory in laymen terms, and attempt to calculate the trajectory of a loogie from my 3rd story window. Don't miss it!

Jermz and Jerome along with some other friends went to a rave yesterday....I'm jealous.=)

This is what I had for dinner today...man, I tell ya. Someday when I grow up, I wanna have a decked out kitchen, with a big ol' spice rack...oh, happy days....*sigh* heh...I really love to cook, I wish I had the time to do it more often. The money to buy good ingrediants wouldn't hurt either.=)

Well, its been quite awhile since we last met...whoa, hey, wait now. Its not totally my fault. Nono...in fact, it was HIS! (and he in turn is pointing at Network Solutions screaming, "it was THEM!") heh...actually, it wasn't my fault that the GBM series went down, but it was my fault for not updating in it's absence. I suppose I just needed a break from everything...and I'll tell ya, it feels good.

Hmm...things that took place since the last post, nearly a month ago. I turned in my final for the heads and hands class. If ever I questioned what I would look like if my genes were crossed with a koala's, I wonder no longer. Just a day afterwards, I was on a plane back to San Diego for a good month.

Man, there was much drinking, dancing, laughs and hugs. Even a hangover or two.=) Overall, the trip back home was great...I got to kick it with my good buds, hang out with she, cousins, mom, yada yada yada. Right now I'm kinda wishing I had kept up with blogging, just because trying to recall the entire vacation again is overwhelming. In fact, unlike usual, I didn't even document my experiences with photos or anything...just my memory of the pure experiences. There's a saying that says, "a tourist comes with an open mind, a pilgrim comes with an open heart." I believe its true.

I've been visiting a few of my regulars, and lots of things have changed it seems...wow.

Anyhoo, this is my "return to glory" post.=) Just wanted to let u guys know I'm still alive, and I didn't plan to leave you guys hangin'. Take care out there, meet back here, same time, same URL.
