Pretty good day...I actually woke up on time and everything...considering I'd only had 3 hours of sleep, I kinda surprised myself.=) Pretty usual day at the "office"...my instructor brought in his two daughters to model. I drew the cuter one. haha...*shiver* Man, something sounds inherently wrong with saying your instructor's daughter is in any way, shape or form "cute".

Anyhoo, my homework drawing was critiqued and he likes...mentioned a few things to work on before we bring them in for the final grading next friday. I'm impressed with other people's drawings in the class. There are a few good people who's stuff I like looking at. I think everyone has REALLY improved. I take it all back, the negative stuff I said about my instructor before, he's a great instructor.

I usually hit up the Friday quickstudy workshop as you guys know, but today...what with the three hours of "Zzz's", I'm just too tired for all that. So instead, I spent the next 3 hours over at the Virgin Cafe, with my usual double cafe mocha and book 6 in the Preacher series...man, I can't believe Cassidy pulled that shite! (are there any Preacher fans out there?)

Anyhoo, afterwards I wandered around the store and on a whim, picked up David Garza's new LP. Pretty strange...I can count the number of times I bought a CD at the (rip-off) Virgin Megastore on one hand. I guess I just decided, "hell with it, I'm feelin' pretty good...'sides, its only 9 bones and I dig his stuff." And that was that.=)

Nothing planned for tonite...maybe I'll go to bed early, or watch TV till I nod off...maybe I'll do anything I damn well please, because....it IS the weekend afterall.=) There's a Costume Carnival tomorrow, 9-4...I'm still tossing around the idea of going. We'll see....

I SOOoo should be asleep right now, but I finally got done with it. Yes, its on me for waiting till the last minute, but its done, so all is good. I've got class at 9am tomorrow, which means a whopping 3 hours of sleep before I have to wake up. Hell, I can catch up on sleep over the weekend.=)

I was chatting with Jermz a few minutes ago, and he showed me some pics of the fellaz bbqin' at the beach on the fourth of July. Ahh...gets me all nostolgic...can't wait to come on back home to those cool San Diego nights, and the salty sea air...g'nite matey.

Outside of the AMC Kabuki Theatre, 10:50am. Standing around on the steps contemplating what to do next:

Will: "Thats your favorite shirt huh?"
Me: "Huh?"
Will: "Is that your favorite shirt? I see you wear it all the time."
Me: "*chuckle*...yeah it is."
Will: "Yeah, I knew it."
Me: "I bet I kno your favorite shirt....lessee...*pondering* Its that dingy, faded Adidas one, right?"
Will: "*laughing* Oh shit, how'd you know?"
Me: "Haha...man, did I call that shit or what??"

Do you know YOUR friend's favorite shirt? We've all got them...take a minute to think about it=)

There was supposedly a free screening of Rush Hour 2 this morning, which was why we were down there so early. We found out only after arriving, that we were an hour and a half late. So much for "inside (theatre) information". So myself, Will, L, his friend, and his friend's gfriend were out there with our asses in the wind.

We decided on some breakfast at IHOP and then off to the Metreon to catch the 12:30 showing of The Score.

I'd never met L's friend, but...y'kno what? He seemed like a real butt-hugger. One of those "too cool to breathe" fools that take themselves so seriously. I don't know if it was because his girlfriend was there, or whatever, but I'm immensely underwhelmed...heh. Y'kno the type, don't you? Too cool for prolonged eye contact, answers always more brief than your questions, etc...I could list a bunch of things. Now, I didn't really talk to him at all, but all this is through observation of his interaction with the others. From when I first got in his car...I tried to be friendly, but when I get that vibe, I just clam up. I've no patience for people like that, and I don't feel like I should extend myself toward them, or give of myself in any way. I realize I act differently with differently people...and when people are "too cool", thats the way I am=)

I told myself I was being judgemental and so I tried to strike up some convo at IHOP..."So, you guys were in the same class?" "Yeah" "Oh, what class?" "Physics." He pulled the ol' "I said less than you" coolness trick...oldest trick in the trade=) Heh...So yeah, I think I said a total of 5 sentances to him the entire time. What a wanker...Oh, and I coulda stolen his girlfriend...muHAAHAHahaHah.

The Score is a SWEET movie man...check it out! Its a classic caper flick...lotsa planning, and suspense throughout, culminating in the execution. It was a great movie. Mister Dan gives it two big toes up.

Have you ever seen that MTv show "Undressed"? I mean...I was flipping through the channels, and I've come across it more than a few times, but today...I decided to stay and check it out...in every single SCENE, they're having sex, or TRYING to have sex. And y'kno what? THEY GET IT. Haha...oh man, if it was this easy, life would be grand! Cripes man...
