I finally got around to starting on a new series of books...and man, was I smilin' and chucklin' more than a few times while reading the first Preacher book.=) Dialog like:

"Are you sayin' I'm some kind of homo?"
"I'm sayin' you're the kind of guy who'd crawl through a perfectly good whorehouse to get to a fat boy's ass."

Yeah, I can definately see how it would be offensive, but if you take it in the context of the situation (basically, a bunch of homophobic backward texans in an ultra violent, gory alternate world...think Cohen brother's films=) and just remember you are reading a comic. Anywayz, it was an entertaining read...and the characters are cool.

Class was pretty cool...I think I'm gettin' the hang of this...I guess I have to take back what I said about my instructor...I have learned some good things...and even though most of the concepts are things I've always known, having them hammered in along with a few new things is helping me a lot.

Talked to "cute ears"...heh...I just saw her at the same store I was in during lunch. She's kinda quiet...I think more of a lowkey kind of girl. Ooh, and while I was there, I saw Neil Gaiman's "American Gods" book...sounds interesting. Lucky Chris got to go to a signing...that must've been something else.

After class, I went to the Virgin Megastore where I read the Preacher book. Its great to be back there doin' what I used to do=) I can see myself comming here more often now that the habbit is being reformed...heh. 'Gonna be great to get back to reading interesting stories...

Speaking of habbits, I was back at the friday Quick Studies workshop...its been a month and a half since my last one...actually, I was a little concerned that I'd suck...heh. But it wasn't bad at all...even saw "Femme Indiana Jones" there...we caught up a bit. She said she'd e-mail me if she needed help with any of her classes...and she told me to e-mail her with any questions for Lucasarts, and she'd pass them along to her friend who works there. Dope.=) And oooh....Cute Workshop Girl got a haircut...she looks...cuter than ever=X

After getting home around 10 or so...Tom, his gfriend, William, L, and Hiroshi drove over and scooped me up, and we all went bowlin' at some place called "Serrabowl" in Daly City. All in all, not too bad...got a free pair of socks out of the whole thing, so thats cool...*wha??* heh...uhh...next time, right now...I'mma go take me a shower. Talk to you later.

I arrive 15 minutes early to drawing class this morning. I grab my stuff, and go upstairs to get a good seat...

When class starts, one of the models is late, so we all move our drawing horses over to the other model stand, where our male model is posing. I start up...take my charcoal pencil and begin to carress the paper...I draw the tool across the newsprint's smooth surface...I'm concentrating intensely at the major shadow shapes...I'm lightly blocking them in...I'm starting to zone out...concentration is rising...there is complete silence........and then....."brat-tat-tat-tat-tat-tat"...my eyes shoot over to the drawing horse next to mine...he readjusts himself on his seat, and coughs....and clears his throat. Me....shocked. Uh...DOOOD!! No he di'nt just....maaaan, thats gross! Did he actually think that he could disguise that fart with a cough? HELL NO...I swear everyone including the teacher heard that one man...sweet jesus. Judging by his reaction, he was completely surprised himself...I mean, it must've been a "creeper" or something, cuz hell...all I know is that anyone in their right mind wouldn't knowingly let one rip at such a prime moment. I've only had 3 classes thus far...but now, everytime I see that dude...I..I can't help but think of that sound....echoed through the classroom...never can I look him in the eyes and think of him as anything other than "the class flagulator".

As you can see, Jerome didn't let me down.=) Man, I gotta say that that particular burrito has got to be...if not THE...then damn near close to the best burrito I've ever had...haha...it was SWEeeeeeEEET. I took my first few virginal bites....to get the taste..that taste that my tongue had been long since deprived of...I let the flavors roll over my tastebuds, as they danced with delight...afterwards, I opened up a small containter of Albertos hotsauce and had myself a great ol' time....whew weee...hot damn that was a great burrito.

Jerome and Susan's visit was way too short...but I had a good time, and it was great seeing them again. The fact that they came bearing gifts was...well, a cherry on top=P The weekend DID have a price though...a hefty one at that. I spent something like 110 bux this weekend...thats pretty...well, farkin' nuts man! heh...On friday night, we went out to the club and I dropped like 40 bones there just on drinks (as Jerome and I alternated rounds for the three of us). I dropped 30 bones at the ramen joint the next day, and another 40 bux that night on karoking and drinking....and probably some small spendage here and there. But what the hey, rah?=) It was coo'.

I've got a sweet setup now...I fear, almost TOO distracting. A computer(and all the goodies that come with it), a VCR, and a TV with cable....all sitting on my desk...all within easy reach...have I just doomed myself? Only time will tell....
